Fries Museum, Boatwarff, Ambulance station

Hey everyone!

Our day was so interesting. We started it at the Fries Museum where we could get a little bit closer to the Frisians history during the second world war. We saw there lot of passports of jewish victims, things they used, a monument of resistance etc.

After this shocking art exhibition we walked on the streets in Leeuwarden and Hylco showed us some things in this city, for example a leaning tower, called the Olde Hoove, which is not straight, it was built over a river or something like that..:)

We met Johann, who came with us to the Boatwarff. It's a workhouse for people with mental disorders. It's not like Smoel, because they don't work for money, they work there to feel themselves better and after some years maybe they can go back to the society and work there. They work with boats, build, repair and paint them.

After this amazing place we were taken to the ambulance station in Drachten. It was really interesting for everyone, especially for some of us who never seen something like that before. The guide made a presentation about the system. It's interesting that they have "bicycle ambulance" where the real ambulances are not possible to drive, for example on a running competition.

He lead us to the garage where we could see an ambulance with all the equipment, and he showed us how these things work.

Tomorrow we're going to visit the places of practice. I can't wait to see it!:)
