The last day

Hello everyone!

So, this is the story of our last day. At morning we started with breakfast, and after that we packed our suitcases and went to voyage. The ship sailed at 11 o'clock, and we read in the forecast that the weather will be sunny, but it was too grey and foggy. Even so we could really enjoy it, we saw very big freighters and freights. Hard to see something like that in Hungary...

After the voyage we had free time till the start of the train. Niki and me went shopping, walked in the streets, we bought some souvenirs. We wanted to buy some magnets, but people couldn't help us where we can find a souvenir shop, so finally we bought some in a flower shop at the train station.

After this we want back to the hotel before time, but Zsófi and Reni was already there, because it started to rain, so they came back. Everyone was there early, so we could reach an earlier train. We were a little bit sweated, because the suitcases were heavy, but only Hajni's suitcase was more than 23 kg with only 1 kg, so she took something to the teacher's suitcase.

The flight back was eventless, but for me the darkness + shaking + flying together was a little bit scary, but we landed intact. Everyone hurried to get home and be with their family (and eat good foods:))

So, that was our last day, our long journey's end. Thanks for everyone who read the blog, we really enjoyed it, I hope you too :)!

The last workday

Hello!

The time is flying so fast in Leeuwarden, we are going to leave the town on saturday. Everybody is so sad because of it.
Today was my last workday in Abbingaheim. I started the work at 15:45, but I didn't have to work till 22.30, because they let me come home earlier to make the presentation for tomorrow. I got my assessment from Sanne and Johan about the time I spent there and after that we made our routine with Sanne as every day.

There are some differences between the work at home and here. Here is some of them:

At first, in medication. The nurses got the patients medicines wrapped into clear plastic bag, and on the plastic bag they can read the patient's datas. When they split the medicines, they check on the computer the patients' datas and they write on computer after give the medicines to someone.

Every patient has a ringer, so they can push it if they need help.

After lay down we take sensor next to every bed and it send a sign to us if something bad happens with one of them.

The doors only van be opened by keys. Every nurses and student have these keys.

All the patient get excellent treatment and care by the nurses. :)

Lunch at Florastate

Hoi!

This is our last week in Leeuwarden, and my feelings are ambivalent of this i want to go home but i really love this town and also the country. The people are very kindly in our workplacement, and i think they are also funny. But it's not a problem, i think we can't live without homor in this world.
Today we cooked with the dutch students at Florastate. At 10 'o clock we go to the shop and buy some raw materials for the lunch. It was funny beacuse we would like to make coconut balls and we didn't find ground biscuits in the shop and we need to break the whole biscuits by hand!

We made stacked potato. It's a hungarian traditional food.

It contain potato, onion, hard boiled egg, sausage, sour creme and cheese. It's very easy and tasty!

The dessert was coconut ball. It's also easy.

It contain cocoa, coconut,a cup of coffee, rum aroma and ground biscuits.

Enjoy your meal! :)

I fell in love with Leeuwarden!

Honestly, I started to freak out about the fact that the date of our departure is coming closer every day. The thing is I truly fell in love with this place! I love the hostel, we live in it (against the dirt that's facing us in the bathrooms :P ), I love the people who are living with us. They are all from different countrys, with different backgrounds and habits, but they can make every occasion unforgettable when they come together in the kitchen and they cook, and play guitar and sing real fantastic songs. Everyone is friendly and open minded here and I like the way they live. :)
Furthermore I really love the day-care, my workplacement is a very lovely place. The children can feel safe and comfortable there. That is crucial for their development. I'm gonna miss a lot my tiny blond friends! Today, when the kids arrived at the day-care, a little girl run to me shouting my name and hugged me. It was a priceless feeling! *.* Then another little blond princess came to me, she wanted me to pick her up, and she told me a lot of things (about her daily news I guess). She was prettling in dutch while I was walking with her, indeed I felt at home in this situation.
Our group leader, Hilde is an amazing woman, I'm very glad I got to know her. At our first meeting I recognized a few similiar features of both of us (like our hair is curly, she likes Lenny Kravitz, and doing yoga), later I saw how exemplary she handles with children and how much humanity is in her every moves. I met another dutch girl, who was doing internship there too and I was surprised how deep conversation we had. She told me a lot of things about herself and her life and I found it wondrous that against all the bad things what happened to her, what a shiney personality
she has!
I feel very lucky, that I had the opportunity to get to know these people! According to me these are the most important things, what our journey gave to me whereas I expanded a lot in practical work too. I think I developed a lot in getting on well with children and in communication thanks to the internship. And the experiences I collected, the people I talked to, the places I've seen, they are treasures, which I won't change for anything!
I feel thankful that I had the possibility to be here in the beautiful Leeuwarden in this sunny november! :)

First/last monday

Hey everyone!
Today was the first (and the last) monday at the work place. There was 8 kids today, but 2 of them was new for me. The girl just comes at mondays, and the boy wasn't at the daycare in the last 2 weeks when I was. The morning shift was very good and very noisy, too. They started the day with playing, and after that we went to the garden. There we played tig, and it was so much fun for them, but a little bit hard for me, because they always run in different ways.

We went back to the room and they ate their fruits. After that the half of the group played, while the other half coloured some do-it-yourself boots, because they couldn't do it last week. Today was a good experience, because I changed some diapers, and of course I'm still nervous, but I feel me better and better after every new diaper. At the end of the morning they played a little, sat in a circle, sang some songs, listened tales, and finally they could go home!

At the afternoon 7 kids came, and they were on full with energy! They run between the room and the garden, they couldn't choose which place is better. Some of them colored boots, but they get bored soon.
It's still Sinterklaas time, so they dressed up again like Sinterklaas and Black Pete, danced to music or gave some presents to everybody.

The parents came to them in the early hours, so the last one was a little boy. I made fun with him, because I imitated his every movement. It was very funny for him, but I had to jump and move a loooot, so I'm sure that tomorrow I'll feel stiff!:)

At the end, let me share a fantastic music, because that was the favourite today!:)
